Tom Franco is a Partner at Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, Inc. He joined Clayton, Dubilier & Rice in 2006. Mr. Franco is responsible for managing several of Clayton, Dubilier & Rice’s key external relationships, including limited partners. He also manages fund raising and is involved in related capital access activities. Previously, Mr. Franco served as a Senior Advisor to Clayton, Dubilier & Rice for 15 years. He has extensive experience representing private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, as well as other organizations serving the private equity industry on a range of issues, including fund raising, portfolio company reputational issues, limited partner relations, and value realization events. Mr. Franco has served as the Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman of Broadgate Consultants, Inc. He founded Broadgate Consultants in 1987 in conjunction with Hoare Govett. Mr. Franco was also involved in numerous entrepreneurial ventures, successfully founding a variety of other businesses. He successfully launched PEI Media serving the alternative asset industry and practiced early in his career as a Securities Lawyer at Finley Kumble. Prior to that, Mr. Franco worked at Georgeson & Co. Previously, Mr. Franco practiced corporate law. He serves as the Chairman Emeritus at Broadgate Consultants. Mr. Franco is a Member of the National Association of Corporate Directors and serves on the Board of Good Shepherd Services. He also serves on the Board of Investor Access, is a publisher of Private Equity International, and Private Equity Online. Mr. Franco is frequently quoted in the global financial media and his articles have appeared in the Financial Times, Investor Relations magazine, Private Equity International, among other publications. He practiced securities law at a major New York City firm. Mr. Franco holds a J.D. from Fordham University and a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.
